It has been a long time since I posted anything, but with New Moon out and my recent visit to FORKS, I had to say something! I wanted to give a shout out to the coolest tour guide in Forks, Wa named Travis. His wife is so nice too! My friend Melanie and I went to Forks this past weekend and enjoyed a great tour of the town. It rained almost the entire time we were there, but the ironic thing is we loved it! We felt like we were experiencing Forks as it should be. :) Please keep sending in your names to support Stephenie Meyer. If Stephenie's people are reading this Travis from Dazzled by Twilight wants to start a "walk of fame" put your hand prints in cement and maybe get the cast aswell. So if any one has connections let get this to happen. Thanks everyone and go see New Moon again, I am.

P.S. We "saw" Edward, Bella and Rosalie while we were there.

Have You Seen My Edward?

Okay, this is kind of funny. Heather is away at girls camp this week (as one of the leaders) and as part of the fun and games they will have planned up there, Heather packed up her life-size cutout of Edward that I got for her.

He has spent the past 6 or so months camped out in the corner of our room and to be honest with you now that he's gone, it's a little strange not seeing him there. Does that make me crazy? I don't know. Maybe? I am not sure if he's even going to come back in one piece, to be honest with you. This is a camp full of teenage girls we are talking about...

Here's to wishful thinking.

"If It Kills Me" song written by fan for New Moon

Okay, so I got this email the other day from a Twilight fan named Hana-li Pendry (check out her site here) and she said she had written a song for the upcoming new moon movie.

I decided to give the song a listen and you know what, I really liked it. I think this would be a good edition to the soundtrack for the movie—I'm not sure how one would go about submitting this for review, but I thought I'd at least do my part and post it here for fan review.

To hear the song, visit the New Moon movie blog—it's on the right side.

New Moon movie blog

Okay, here's something for all you Twi-hards out there (and even those of you who support the Twi-hards in your life). I have created a New Moon movie blog. Click here to check it out.

I am planning on having a myriad of things offered there, so check back often. In fact, right now you can download a 1900x1200 custom New Moon wallpaper for your desktop. There's also a poll on the left side to determine how many of you out there run with the Cullen Coven or the La Push Pack—I am interested to see who sides with who.

Anyways...

I Finished Breaking Dawn

I finished reading Breaking Dawn last night and I have to say that this is probably my favorite of the series. Actually, I like all of them and think that they should do one big print of all 4 books (now that would be awesome).

I loved it. Great story. Great characters. And the ending...oh my freaking goodness—what an ending. It was perfect. I really, really don't understand what a very small group of people were freaking about that caused them to want to return the book. Seriously. Come on, people. Really.

I am looking forward to seeing how Breaking Dawn will translate to the big screen, though. It should be a great movie.

I think I'll start the series over again.

You might have seen this if you watched the MTV awards last night, but for those of you who were busy reading the Twilight series for your 34th time, here's the official teaser trailer for New Moon, due out this November. Enjoy!

Status Update

Well, it seems like forever since I have posted anything on here. Sorry about that—it's this thing called life that seems to always take priority when I have a bit of free time.

There are a bunch of names that I am going to be entering. Sorry if you have emailed your name and haven't seen it yet. I'll do it soon, I promise. On a lighter note, I can happily say that I have officially started reading Breaking Dawn. I am about 250 pages into it—and just like the other books, this one is a good read so far. I am looking forward to New Moon this fall.

Anyways, life's calling again. Later.

Supporting Those We Love

Dear fans,

Let me preface this post with a sincere thank you to all of the many Stephenie Meyer and Twilight fans who have joined us in supporting the cause of supporting her in all her endeavors, no matter what they are. We are over 1,350 supporters deep and the names are still coming in. We sincerely appreciate all of the thoughts and comments that you have made since we went live with this blog. YOU are amazing—don't let anyone tell you different.

Now, onto the purpose of this post.

Ask yourself this question. What do you do when you've read the Twilight series several times and seen the movie at least as many times. How do you pass the time while waiting for the next Twilight book or movie to come out? You could re-read the series again, sure. But, why not spend your time with another obsession? Another obsession? Is there such a thing among Twi-hards? Sure there is—and for one fan, It's a small television show called American Idol.

Before my wife was addicted to Twilight, there was (and still very much is) American Idol. She has watched every season since the beginning. If anything, she is the ultimate American Idol fan—at least in my eyes. So, while she waits for the release of the next Twilight film (which is going to rock) she spends her free time blogging (among other things). She is now what I would call a seasoned blogger, even though she's only been doing it for less than a year. One of her latest blogs is following this season of American Idol. You can read what she has to say here: http://www.followingamericanidol.blogspot.com. I support my wife's American Idol addiction as much as I support her Twilight addiction, and because I support her in this, I feel the need to share her passion with everyone I can.

If you can pull yourself away from your tattered, torn and tear-stained copy of Twilight, I would encourage you to check out Following American Idol and support my wife in her latest blogging adventure. Follow American Idol through the eyes and emotions of the biggest fan that I know of, my wife, Heather.

Thanks for your support.

P.S. Did I mention that Heather has a life-size cardboard cutout of Edward in our room? He likes American Idol. too...

Total SM Supporters: 1,350

It's been a long and crazy road to this point in time—and I have a feeling that we've only just begun (can't hurt to throw in a little Carpenters plug, for those of you who remember).

We have now reached 1,350 supporters—people from around the world. Thanks for all the emails, pleas and thoughts. I hope that Stephenie is still following our progress.

Thanks again for everything!
